AD/A109/26 - Hydraulic System Return Line - CANCELLED

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/A109/26. Agusta A109 Series Helicopters AD/A109/26 Hydraulic System Return Line 9/2009 Requirement: CANCELLED. This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009. Background: This unique Australian AD raised in1996 against Augusta Bollettino Technico 109-98 Rev A required a modification by installation of a by-pass valve on advice from the manufacture that disconnection of the quick release coupling in the No.1 hydraulic return line will cause lock-up of the hydraulic system. The lock-up condition could be detected if flight manual pre-flight checks are correctly carried out. Compliance was prior to 30 June 1996. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected helicopters to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
