STATUTORY RULES. 1916. No. 194. _________ AMENDMENT OF THE TREASURY REGULATIONS UNDER THE AUDIT ACT 1901–1912. I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Amendment of the Treasury Regulations under the Audit Act 1901–1912, to come into operation forthwith. Dated this twenty-third day of August, One thousand nine hundred and sixteen. R. M. FERGUSON, Governor- General. By His Excellency’s Command, W. G. HIGGS, Treasurer. ___________ Treasury Regulation No. 117 to be repealed, and the following inserted in its stead:— “The Sub-Treasury paymaster shall, if so authorized by an authorizing Officer (Form 18), sign cheques drawn on the Commonwealth Public account, and shall pay such cheques to the credit of Departmental advance accounts, Money Order accounts, or Commonwealth Mint accounts. Every such cheque shall be countersigned by the Sub-Treasury Accountant, and between parallel lines shall be written or stamped on the cheque the name of the Bank into which the cheque is to be paid, together with the name of the account to be credited by the Bank with the amount. Accounts for payment into the Commonwealth Mint account shall he prepared on Form 28 a .” C.10878.— Price 3d. Form no. 28 a (Clause 117).
