No. 130/2016 Gene Technology Act 2001 Gene Technology Amendment Regulations 2016 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 18 October 2016 Responsible Minister: JILL HENNESSY Minister for Health ANDREW ROBINSON Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to make consequential amendments to the Gene Technology Regulations 2011 as a result of the commencement of the Gene Technology Amendment Act 2016. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 193 of the Gene Technology Act 2001. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2016. 4 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Gene Technology Regulations 2011 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- Gene Technology Amendment Regulations 2016 S.R. No. 130/2016 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 2 5 Information to be kept or given to the Regulator by persons or accredited organisations In regulation 13C(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "GMO and GM Product Dealings" substitute "GMO Dealings". 6 Record of GMO and GM Product Dealings (1) In the heading to regulation 39 of the Principal Regulations, for "GMO and GM Product Dealings" substitute "GMO Dealings".
