No. 146/2016 Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 Liquor Control Reform Amendment Regulations 2016 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 13 December 2016 Responsible Minister: MARLENE KAIROUZ Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation ANDREW ROBINSON Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009— (a) to amend the type of wine that is prescribed to be a type of liquor that butchers may supply; and (b) to prescribe a further type of liquor that butchers may supply. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 180 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. -- 2 of 4 -- Liquor Control Reform Amendment Regulations 2016 S.R. No. 146/2016 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 2 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 30 December 2016. 4 Prescribed types of liquor that butchers may supply (1) For regulation 6A(1)(b) of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 20091 substitute— "(b) any type of wine; (c) any type of cider.". (2) For regulation 6A(2) of the Liquor Control Reform Regulations 2009 substitute— "(2) In this regulation, cider means a beverage that is the partially or completely fermented juice or must of any fruit or fruits to which none of the following is added— (a) ethyl alcohol; (b) liquor; (c) any other substance (other than water or the juice or must of any fruit) that gives colour or flavour to the cider.".
