Subordinate Legislation (Drugs, Poisons and
Controlled Substances Regulations 2006) Extension
Regulations 2016
The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the
Minister for Health, makes the following Regulations:

1 Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to extend the
operation of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled
Substances Regulations 2006, which would
otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5(1) of
the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, for the
period specified in regulation 3.
2 Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 5A
and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994.
3 Extension of operation
The operation of the Drugs, Poisons and
Controlled Substances Regulations 20061
is extended for the period beginning on
25 May 2016 and ending on 24 May 2017.

4 Expiry
These Regulations expire on 25 May 2017.
