No. 175/2014 Accident Towing Services Act 2007 Accident Towing Services Amendment Regulations 2014 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 21 October 2014 Responsible Minister: TERRY MULDER Minister for Roads YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Accident Towing Services Regulations 2008 to update references to police officers. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 223 of the Accident Towing Services Act 2007. 3 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Accident Towing Services Regulations 20081 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 175/2014 Accident Towing Services Amendment Regulations 2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 4 Records to be kept by a licence holder (1) In regulation 14(4) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer". (2) In regulation 14(5) of the Principal Regulations for "member of the force" (where twice occurring) substitute "police officer". 5 Moving motor vehicle to reduce a hazard In regulation 36(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer". 6 Refusal to salvage or tow from road accident scene In regulation 39(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, for "member of the force" substitute "police officer". 7 Schedule 3—Accident Towing Demerit Points In column 2 of item 42 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations for "member of the force" substitute "police officer". 8 Schedule 4—Infringements (1) In column 3 of item 50 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations for "member of the police force" substitute "police officer".
