No. 98/2014 Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987 Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Amendment (Forests and Wildlife) Regulations 2014 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 8 July 2014 Responsible Minister: RYAN SMITH Minister for Environment and Climate Change YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Regulations 2013— (a) to prescribe offences against relevant laws for which an infringement notice may be served; and (b) to prescribe infringement penalties for those offences. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 98/2014 Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Amendment (Forests and Wildlife) Regulations 2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 9 July 2014. 4 Forests After item 16 of Schedule 3 to the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Regulations 2013 1 insert— "16A An offence against regulation 16(1) of the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations 2014 4 penalty units 16B An offence against regulation 17(1) of the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations 2014 4 penalty units 16C An offence against regulation 18(1) of the Forests (Fire Protection) Regulations 2014 4 penalty units". 5 Wildlife After item 34 of Schedule 7 to the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Regulations 2013 insert— "34A An offence against regulation 43A(1) of the Wildlife Regulations 2013 4 penalty units". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
