No. 40/2014 Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987 Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) and (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2014 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 May 2014 Responsible Minister: PETER WALSH Minister for Agriculture and Food Security YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council PART 1—PRELIMINARY 1 Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are— (a) to amend the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Regulations 2013— (i) to prescribe offences against a relevant law for which an infringement notice may be served; and (ii) to prescribe penalties for those offences; and -- 2 of 7 -- Part 1—Preliminary Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) and (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2014 S.R. No. 40/2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel (b) to amend the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Regulations 2013 to prescribe penalties for certain offences against a relevant law for which an infringement notice may be served. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 28 May 2014. __________________ r. 2 -- 3 of 7 -- Part 2—Amendment of Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) Regulations 2013 Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) and (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2014 S.R. No. 40/2014 5 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel PART 3—AMENDMENT OF CONSERVATION, FORESTS AND LANDS (PRIMARY INDUSTRIES INFRINGEMENT NOTICES) REGULATIONS 2013 7 Prescribed infringement penalties for certain prescribed infringement offences under the Wildlife Act 1975 (1) In item 6 of Schedule 1 to the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Regulations 20132 , for "2·5 penalty units" substitute "6 penalty units". (2) In item 7 of Schedule 1 to the Conservation, Forests and Lands (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Regulations 2013, for "2·5 penalty units" substitute "6 penalty units". ═══════════════ r. 7 -- 6 of 7 -- Conservation, Forests and Lands (Infringement Notice) and (Primary Industries Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2014 S.R.
