No. 157/2014 County Court Act 1958 County Court (Oath and Affirmation of Office) Regulations 2014 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 14 October 2014 Responsible Minister: ROBERT CLARK Attorney-General YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe the form and manner of an oath of office and an affirmation of office for judicial registrars of the County Court. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 79A of the County Court Act 1958. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 10 November 2014. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 157/2014 County Court (Oath and Affirmation of Office) Regulations 2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 4 Oath or affirmation of office (1) For the purposes of section 17PA(1) of the County Court Act 1958, the prescribed form of an oath or affirmation of office for a judicial registrar is set out in the Schedule. (2) An oath or affirmation of office for a judicial registrar must be administered by the Chief Judge or another judge. __________________ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R. AFFIRMATION OF OFFICE OF JUDICIAL REGISTRAR I, [Full name], solemnly and sincerely declare and affirm that as a judicial registrar of the County Court in the State of Victoria, I will at all times and in all things discharge the duties of my office according to law and to the best of my knowledge and ability without fear, favour, affection or ill-will. ═══════════════ Sch. -- 4 of 4 --
