No. 102/2014 Magistrates' Court Act 1989 Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Amendment Regulations 2014 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 22 July 2014 Responsible Minister: ROBERT CLARK Attorney-General YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Regulations 2010— (a) to revoke the allowances for professional costs that may be awarded to a party in respect of an arbitration under Division 2 of Part 5 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989; and (b) to make other minor and technical amendments. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 140 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 102/2014 Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Amendment Regulations 2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 August 2014. 4 New regulation 1 substituted For regulation 1 of the Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Regulations 20101 substitute— "1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe those classes of complaint that are exempt from arbitration under Division 2 of Part 5 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.". 5 Revocation of regulations 4 and 6 Regulations 4 and 6 of the Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Regulations 2010 are revoked. 6 Revocation of Schedules 1 and 3 Schedules 1 and 3 of the Magistrates' Court (Arbitration) Regulations 2010 are revoked. ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
