No. 84/2014 Road Safety Act 1986 Road Safety (Drivers) Amendment (Renewal Fees) Interim Regulations 2014 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 24 June 2014 Responsible Minister: TERRY MULDER Minister for Roads YVETTE CARISBROOKE Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 to limit the circumstances in which a person will be eligible for reduced driver licence renewal fees. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986. 3 Commencement (1) These Regulations (except regulation 5) come into operation on 28 June 2014. (2) Regulation 5 comes into operation on 26 June 2015. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 84/2014 Road Safety (Drivers) Amendment (Renewal Fees) Interim Regulations 2014 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 4 Revocation The Road Safety (Drivers) Amendment (Renewal Fees) Interim Regulations 20131 are revoked. 5 Revocation of amendments In regulation 107 of the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009 2 , in the definition of eligible person— (a) in paragraph (b) for "driver licence; and" substitute "driver licence;"; and (b) paragraph (c) is revoked. 6 Expiry These Regulations will expire on 27 June 2015. ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
