Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2014
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1 Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to make
consequential amendments to the Sentencing
Regulations 2011 as a result of the enactment of
the Sentencing Amendment (Abolition of
Suspended Sentences and Other Matters) Act
2013.
2 Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 116 of
the Sentencing Act 1991.
3 Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on
19 April 2014.
4 Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Sentencing Regulations
20111 are called the Principal Regulations.

5 Part payment of fine to reduce unpaid community
work
In regulation 18(1) of the Principal Regulations,
for "63B(2)" substitute "69U(3)".
6 Matters to be contained in a fine conversion order
(1) In the heading to regulation 21 of the Principal
Regulations, for "fine conversion order"
substitute "fines work order".
(2) In regulation 21(1)(e) of the Principal
Regulations, for "61A" substitute "69V".
(3) In regulation 21(2) of the Principal Regulations,
for "fine conversion order" substitute "fines work
order".
7 Regulation 22 revoked
Regulation 22 of the Principal Regulations is
revoked.
8 Offender's obligations under a fine conversion order
or fine default unpaid community work order
(1) In the heading to regulation 23 of the Principal
Regulations, for "fine conversion order or fine
default unpaid community work order"
substitute "fines work order".
(2) In regulation 23(1) of the Principal Regulations,
for "fine conversion order or a fine default unpaid
community work order", substitute "fines work
order".
9 Application for variation etc. of fine conversion
order or fine default unpaid community work order
(1) In the heading to regulation 24A of the Principal
Regulations, for "fine conversion order or fine

(1) In the heading to regulation 26A of the Principal
Regulations, for "fine conversion order or fine
default unpaid community work order"
substitute "fines work order".
(2) In regulation 26A of the Principal Regulations, for
