No. 20/2013 Climate Change Act 2010 Climate Change Amendment Regulations 2013 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 12 February 2013 Responsible Minister: RYAN SMITH Minister for Environment and Climate Change MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to make miscellaneous amendments to the Climate Change Regulations 2011 as a result of amendments to the Climate Change Act 2010. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 64 of the Climate Change Act 2010. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 13 February 2013. 4 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Climate Change Regulations 2011 1 are called the Principal Regulations. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 20/2013 Climate Change Amendment Regulations 2013 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 5 Objectives (1) For the heading to regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations substitute— "Objective". (2) In regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations, for "objectives" substitute "objective". (3) In regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations, for "are to prescribe—" substitute "is to prescribe the information to be recorded in the Register of Carbon Sequestration Agreements.". (4) Regulation 1(a), (b) and (c) of the Principal Regulations are revoked. 6 Revocation of Part 2 Part 2 of the Principal Regulations is revoked. 7 Register of Carbon Sequestration Agreements to be maintained by the Secretary (1) After regulation 6(1)(a) of the Principal Regulations, insert— "(ab) whether the right granted under the agreement is a carbon sequestration right or soil carbon right; and". (2) After regulation 6(1)(f) of the Principal Regulations, insert— "(fa) if the agreement is transferred, the name of the person to whom the agreement is transferred and the effective date of the transfer; and (fb) if the right granted under the agreement is assigned, the name of the person to whom the right is assigned and the effective date of the assignment; and". ═══════════════ r. 5 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
