(2) The agreement made pursuant to the authority conferred by this section is referred to as the Agreement . s 2 amd 2000 No. 50 s 3 3 Executed Agreement to have the force of law, and ratification thereof (1) Upon the making of the Agreement— (a) the provisions thereof shall have the force of law and take effect as if the Agreement were an enactment of this Act; and (b) the Agreement shall be deemed for the purposes of section 19 of the Casino Control Act 1982 and for all other purposes to be ratified by Parliament. (2) The date of the making of the Agreement shall be notified by proclamation. 4 Variation of Agreement (1) The Agreement may be varied by a further agreement corresponding to a proposed further agreement set out in schedule 2 between the Minister and the other parties to the Agreement. (2) The Minister must notify the date of the making of the further agreement by Gazette notice. s 4 sub 1993 No. 32 s 3sch 1 amd 2000 No. 50 s 4; 2002 No. 5 s 6 5 Regulations (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for the purposes of this Act. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), a mention in the Agreement of an order in council is taken to be a mention of a regulation. s 5 prev s 5 om 1993 No. 76 s 3sch 1 pres s 5 ins 1993 No. 32 s 3sch 1 Schedule 1 section 2 Editor’s note— Consistent with the provisions of the Act , this schedule only contains the proposed agreement authorised to be entered into by the Act as originally enacted.
