No. 106/2013 Legal Profession Act 2004 Legal Profession (Admission) Amendment Rules 2013 The Council of Legal Education makes the following Rules: 1 Object The object of these Rules is to amend the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2008 to provide for former local lawyers to apply for readmission to the legal profession. 2 Authorising provision These Rules are made under section 2.3.12 of the Legal Profession Act 2004. 3 Commencement These Rules come into operation on 2 September 2013. 4 Definition of local applicant amended In Rule 1.05(1) of the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 20081 , in paragraph (a) of the definition of local applicant, after "Australia" insert "(other than Victoria)". -- 2 of 4 -- S.R.
