Short title This order-in-council may be cited as the Collections for Charities (Approved Organisations) Order 2002 . 2. Commencement This order-in-council takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette . 3. Approved organisations The organisations specified in Schedule 1 are approved for the purposes of the Collections for Charities Act 2001 . SCHEDULE 1 - Approved organisations Clause 3 [Schedule 1 Amended by S.R. 2008, No. 167, Applied:01 Jan 2009] [Schedule 1 Amended by S.R. 2013, No. 52, Applied:01 Jul 2013] [Schedule 1 Amended by No. 32 of 2021, Sched. 4, Applied:01 Jul 2022] [Schedule 1 Amended by No. 9 of 2022, s. 162, Applied:01 Jul 2023] 1. The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Tas) and any organisation operating under the auspices of the Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Tas) 2. The Salvation Army in Tasmania, and any organisation operating under the auspices of the Salvation Army in Tasmania 3. Any school, as defined by the Education Act 2016 , other than a registered school 4.
