1 Short title
This notice may be cited as the
Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Queensland) (NT and Tasmanian Container Deposit Schemes) Notice 2023 .
2 Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulation (NT container deposit scheme)— Act , s 7
The proposed Commonwealth regulation titled ‘ Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Legislation Amendment (Northern Territory Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2023 ’, the terms of which are set out in schedule 1 , is endorsed.
3 Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulation (Tasmanian container deposit scheme)— Act , s 7
The proposed Commonwealth regulation titled ‘ Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Legislation Amendment (Tasmanian Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2023 ’, the terms of which are set out in schedule 2 , is endorsed.

1 Name
This instrument is the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Legislation Amendment (Northern Territory Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2023 .
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The day after this instrument is registered.

3 Authority
This instrument is made under section 45 of the
Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 .
4 Repeal of this instrument
This instrument is repealed on the day after it commences.
5 Schedules
Legislation that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997
1 Clause 11 of Schedule 2
Before “ Firearms and other prohibited or offensive weapons ”, insert:
Container deposit scheme The following laws: (a) Part 2 of the Environment Protection (Beverage Containers and Plastic Bags) Act 2011 ;
(b) all other provisions of that Act, to the extent that they relate to the container deposit scheme established by that Part;
(c) regulations or other instruments made under that Act, to the extent that they relate to that scheme

Proposed Commonwealth regulation (Tasmanian container deposit scheme)
section 3
1 Name
This instrument is the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Legislation Amendment (Tasmanian Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2023 .
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1. The whole of this instrument
The later of: (a) the start of the day after this instrument is registered; and
(b) immediately after the commencement of Part 2 of the Container Refund Scheme Act 2022 (Tas.).
However, the provisions do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur.
Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this instrument as originally made. It will not be amended to deal with any later amendments of this instrument.
(2) Any information in column 3 of the table is not part of this instrument. Information may be inserted in this column, or information in it may be edited, in any published version of this instrument.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under section 45 of the
