Defamation Order 2015
I make the following order under
section 35(3) of the
Defamation Act 2005
. 1 June 2015 DR. VANESSA GOODWIN Minister for Justice
1.
Short title
This order may be cited as the
Defamation Order 2015 .
2.
Commencement
This order takes effect on 1 July 2015.
3.
Maximum damages amount
For the purposes of
section 35(1) of the
Defamation Act 2005
, the maximum damages amount that is to apply from 1 July 2015 is declared to be $367 500.
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the
Rules Publication Act 1953 . Notified in the Gazette on 17 June 2015 This order is administered in the Department of Justice.
