Customs Regulations (Amendment)

STATUTORY RULES 1923. No. 76. REGULATION UNDER THE CUSTOMS ACT 1901-1922. I , THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, do hereby make the following Regulation under the Customs Act 1901-1922 to come into operation forthwith. Dated this seventh day of June, 1923. FORSTER, Governor-General. By His Excellency’s Command, AUSTIN CHAPMAN, Minister of State for Trade and Customs. Amendment of the Customs Regulations. (Statutory Rules 1921, No. 206, as amended by Statutory Rules 1922, Nos. 6 and 21, and as affected by Statutory Rules 1922, No. 24.) Regulation 154 e of the Customs Regulations is repealed, and the following regulation is inserted in its stead:— “ 154e. Butter shall be exported only in packages which, in the opinion of an officer authorized to inspect butter, ( a ) will not cause it to deteriorate rapidly; ( b ) will not impart a taint to it when stored; ( c ) are sufficiently strong to enable it to be carried without breakage when subject to ordinary treatment; and ( d ) are packed in such a manner and with such material as will insure its arrival at destination in a sound condition.” Printed and Published for the G overnment of the C ommonwealth of A ustralia by A lbert J.
