Any amendments that commence after that date are not included. ____________________ BUSINESS NAMES (NATIONAL UNIFORM LEGISLATION) REQUEST ACT 2011 An Act to request the Parliament of the Commonwealth to enact legislation relating to the registration and use of business names 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Business Names (National Uniform Legislation) Request Act 2011. 2 Commencement This Act commences on the day fixed by the Administrator by Gazette notice. 3 Definition In this Act: tabled text means the text of the following proposed Bills for Commonwealth Acts as tabled in the House of Assembly of Tasmania on 5 July 2011 by or on behalf of the Minister introducing the Bill for the Business Names (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2011 of that State in that House of Assembly: (a) Business Names Registration Bill 2011; (b) Business Names Registration (Transitional and Consequential Provisions) Bill 2011. 4 Request for Commonwealth legislation The Legislative Assembly requests the Parliament of the Commonwealth to enact Acts in, or substantially in, the terms of the tabled text. -- 2 of 4 -- 5 Operation of Act This Act does not affect the operation of any law of the Commonwealth made in accordance with the request made by this Act or in accordance with a law of a State referring the power to make a law in, or substantially in, the terms of the tabled text.
