Public Health and Wellbeing Amendment
Regulations 2013
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1 Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009 to
reflect that acupuncturists are now registered
under the Health Practitioner Regulation National
Law.
2 Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 232
and 235 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act
2008.

3 Exempt registered premises
For regulation 15(e) of the Public Health and
Wellbeing Regulations 20091 substitute—
"(e) the practice of—
(i) a person registered in the
acupuncturists' division of the register
kept by the Chinese Medicine Board of
Australia under the Health Practitioner
Regulation National Law; or
(ii) a registered health practitioner whose
registration is endorsed by a National
Board as being qualified to practise as
an acupuncturist under the Health
Practitioner Regulation National Law;".
