Commencement These regulations come into operation as follows  — (a) regulations  1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette ; (b)the rest of the regulations  — on the day after that day. 3 . Historical homosexual offence prescribed For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of historical homosexual offence in section 3(1) of the Act, an offence against the Police Act 1892 section 54 as in force before 31 May 2005 is prescribed.
