Commencement These regulations come into operation as follows  — (a) regulations  1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website; (b)the rest of the regulations  — on 1 July 2026. 3 .Temporary exemption: laws relating to container deposit scheme (Act s. 5) The following laws, to the extent that they are not covered by section 14 and Schedule 2 item 37 of the Commonwealth Act, are declared to be laws to which section 15 of the Commonwealth Act applies — (a)the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 (the WARR Act ) Part 5A as affected by the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery (Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2019 regulation 42; (b)all other provisions of the WARR Act, to the extent that they relate to the container deposit scheme established by Part 5A, as affected by the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery (Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2019 regulation 42; (c)the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery (Container Deposit Scheme) Regulations 2019 as amended by the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery (Container Deposit Scheme) Amendment Regulations 2026 . 4 .Repeal These regulations are repealed on 1 July 2027.
