No. 130/2012 Livestock Disease Control Act 1994 Livestock Disease Control Further Amendment Regulations 2012 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 November 2012 Responsible Minister: PETER WALSH Minister for Agriculture and Food Security MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Livestock Disease Control Regulations 2006 to prescribe the body that represents a specified industry or profession as a result of the enactment of the Primary Industries Legislation Amendment Act 2010. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 139 of the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 30 November 2012. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 130/2012 Livestock Disease Control Further Amendment Regulations 2012 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 4 New regulations 54A and 54B After regulation 54 of the Livestock Disease Control Regulations 20061 insert— "54A Cattle Compensation Advisory Committee For the purposes of section 79(3A) of the Act— (a) the Victorian Farmers Federation is the prescribed body that represents the cattle industry; (b) the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Limited is the prescribed body that represents the livestock agents profession; (c) the Australian Meat Industry Council is the prescribed body that represents the meat processing industry. 54B Sheep and Goat Compensation Advisory Committee For the purposes of section 79I(3A) of the Act— (a) the Victorian Farmers Federation is the prescribed body that represents the sheep industry and the goat industry; (b) the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Limited is the prescribed body that represents the livestock agents profession; (c) the Australian Meat Industry Council is the prescribed body that represents the meat processing industry.". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
