No. 84/2011 Estate Agents Act 1980 Estate Agents (Education) Amendment Regulations 2011 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 16 August 2011 Responsible Minister: MICHAEL O'BRIEN Minister for Consumer Affairs MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Estate Agents (Education) Regulations 2008 to omit and update references to registered education and training organisations approved by the Director under section 10A of the Estate Agents Act 1980 in the Principal Regulations as a result of the repeal of that section by section 36 of the Consumer Affairs Legislation Amendment (Reform) Act 2010. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Estate Agents Act 1980. -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. No. 84/2011 Estate Agents (Education) Amendment Regulations 2011 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 17 August 2011. 4 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Estate Agents (Education) Regulations 2008 1 are called the Principal Regulations. 5 Amendment to Schedule 1 (1) In Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations omit "and conducted by the registered education and training organisations approved by the Director under section 10A of the Act". (2) At the foot of Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations insert— "Note See the Internet Site of the National Training Information Service (or the Internet Site of a subsequent equivalent Commonwealth service).". 6 Amendment to Schedule 2 (1) In Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations omit "and conducted by the registered education and training organisations approved by the Director under section 10A of the Act". (2) At the foot of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations insert— "Note See the Internet Site of the National Training Information Service (or the Internet Site of a subsequent equivalent Commonwealth service).". 7 Amendment to Schedule 3 In clause 1 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations, after "the Act" insert "as in force immediately before its repeal". r. 3 -- 3 of 5 -- S.R.
