No. 100/2011 Estate Agents Act 1980 Estate Agents (General, Accounts and Audit) Amendment Regulations 2011 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 13 September 2011 Responsible Minister: MICHAEL O'BRIEN Minister for Consumer Affairs MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Estate Agents (General, Accounts and Audit) Regulations 2008— (a) to make consequential amendments as a consequence of the enactment of the Consumer Affairs Legislation Amendment Act 2010; and (b) to make other amendments as a consequence of the enactment of the Consumer Acts Amendment Act 2011. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 99 of the Estate Agents Act 1980. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 100/2011 Estate Agents (General, Accounts and Audit) Amendment Regulations 2011 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 October 2011. 4 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Estate Agents (General, Accounts and Audit) Regulations 20081 are called the Principal Regulations. 5 Amendments to regulation 4 In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations— (a) in the definition of authorised financial institution, for "section 60(6)", substitute "section 4(1)"; (b) in paragraph (c) of the definition of practising accountant, for "National Institute of Accountants" substitute "Institute of Public Accountants". 6 Amendment to Schedule 2 In Section D in Form 2 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations, for "National Institute of Accountants" substitute "Institute of Public Accountants". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
