No. 12/2011 Fisheries Act 1995 Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Amendment Regulations 2011 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 15 March 2011 Responsible Minister: PETER WALSH Minister for Agriculture and Food Security MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objectives The objectives of these Regulations are to amend the Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Regulations 2008— (a) to reduce levies for certain access licences, aquaculture licences and individual quota units; and (b) to correct references to fish receiver licences. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 153 of the Fisheries Act 1995. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2011. -- 2 of 11 -- S.R. No. 12/2011 Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Amendment Regulations 2011 2 Authorised by the Chief Parliamentary Counsel 4 Principal Regulations In these Regulations, the Fisheries (Fees, Royalties and Levies) Regulations 20081 are called the Principal Regulations. 5 Definitions and interpretation In regulation 4(1) of the Principal Regulations— (a) in paragraph (b) of the definition of commercial fishery licence, for "a fish receiver's licence" substitute "a fish receiver licence"; and (b) in the definition of renewable licence, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence". 6 Levies on commercial fishery access licences In the heading to regulation 17 of the Principal Regulations omit "commercial fishery". 7 Levies on fish receiver's licences (1) In the heading to regulation 18 of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licences" substitute "fish receiver licences". (2) In regulation 18(1) of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence". (3) In regulation 18(2) of the Principal Regulations, for "fish receiver's licence" substitute "fish receiver licence". r. 4 -- 3 of 11 -- S.R.
