No. 123/2010 Legal Profession Act 2004 Legal Profession Practising Certificate Fees Interim Regulations 2010 The Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Legal Services Board makes the following Regulations: Dated: 26 October 2010 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney-General MATTHEW McBEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe fees to be paid for local practising certificates under the Legal Profession Act 2004 for the 2011–2012 financial year. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 7.2.17(2)(b) of the Legal Profession Act 2004. 3 Commencement These Regulations commence on 30 June 2011. 4 Revocation The Legal Profession (Practising Certificate Fees) Regulations 2007 1 are revoked. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 123/2010 Legal Profession Practising Certificate Fees Interim Regulations 2010 2 5 Practising certificate fees from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012 The prescribed fee for a local practising certificate to be in force in the financial year 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012 is— (a) for a practising certificate authorising the receipt of trust money, $412; (b) for a practising certificate not authorising the receipt of trust money, $256; (c) for a practising certificate in force for part of that financial year only, an amount (rounded to the nearest dollar) calculated on a pro rata basis that bears the same proportion to the relevant fee in paragraph (a) or (b) as the period the certificate is in force, rounded up to the next quarter, bears to the whole financial year. 6 Expiry These Regulations expire on 1 July 2012. ═══════════════ r. 5 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
