No. 90/2010 Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983 Transport (Passenger Vehicles) and Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Amendment (Passenger Numbers) Regulations 2010 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 7 September 2010 Responsible Minister: MARTIN PAKULA Minister for Public Transport MATTHEW McBEATH Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to— (a) amend the Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 to remove an inconsistency between the provision relating to passenger numbers and the provisions of Rule 266 of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009; (b) amend the Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005 to remove an inconsistency between the provision relating to passenger numbers and the provisions of Rule 266 of the Road Safety Road Rules 2009. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under section 162 of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 90/2010 Transport (Passenger Vehicles) and Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Amendment (Passenger Numbers) Regulations 2010 2 3 Amendment to Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 In regulation 34(2) of the Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 1 , for "subregulation (1)" substitute "subregulation (1)(b)". 4 Amendment to Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005 Regulation 28(2) of the Transport (Taxi-Cabs) Regulations 2005 2 is revoked. ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
