STATUTORY RULES. 1956. No. 118. REGULATIONS UNDER THE ALIENS ACT 1947-1952.* I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Aliens Act 1947-1952. Amendments of the Aliens Regulations. † Time for making application for registration. 1. Regulation 5 of the Aliens Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the word “ sub-section ” (first occurring) and inserting in its stead the word “ sub-regulation ” . Notification of change of address or occupation. 2. Regulation 9 of the Aliens Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (4.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:— “ (4.) A notification by an alien, being a notification referred to in the preceding provisions of this regulation, shall be in writing in accordance with so much of Form 5 as is applicable in the circumstances of the case and shall be forwarded— ( a ) where the place of residence of the alien is in a State or the Northern Territory—to the Commonwealth Migration Officer in the State or the Northern Territory, as the case may be; or ( b ) where the place of residence of the alien is in the Australian Capital Territory—to the Secretary to the Department of Immigration. ” . * Notified in the Commonwealth Gazette on , 1956. † Statutory Rules 1954, No. 114. 4980/56.—Price 3d. 9/22.11.1956.
