No. 93/2009 Road Safety Act 1986 Road Safety (General) Amendment (Careless Driving) Regulations 2009 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 26 August 2009 Responsible Minister: TIM PALLAS Minister for Roads and Ports TOBY HALLIGAN Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Road Safety (General) Regulations 1999 to provide that the offence of careless driving of a vehicle other than a motor vehicle cannot be dealt with by traffic infringement notice. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 95 of the Road Safety Act 1986. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 27 August 2009. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R.
