Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities
(Public Authorities) Interim Regulations 2008
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1 Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to declare
certain entities not to be public authorities for the
purposes of the Charter of Human Rights and
Responsibilities.
2 Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 46 of
the Charter of Human Rights and
Responsibilities Act 2006.
3 Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on
30 December 2008.
4 Revocation
The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities
(Public Authorities) (Interim) Regulations 2007 1
are revoked.

5 Public authorities
Each of the following entities is declared not to be
a public authority for the purposes of the Charter
of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act
2006—
(a) the Adult Parole Board established by
section 61 of the Corrections Act 1986;
(b) the Youth Residential Board continued in
existence by section 431 of the Children,
Youth and Families Act 2005;
(c) the Youth Parole Board continued in
existence by section 442 of the Children,
Youth and Families Act 2005.
6 Expiry
These Regulations expire on 29 December 2009.
