STATUTORY RULES 1970 No. 122 REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1968.* I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1968. Regulation 117 of the Postal Regulations is repealed and the following regulation inserted in its stead:— Re-purchase of stamps for payment for certain licences or for a telephone account. “ 117. Notwithstanding the last preceding regulation, wh4ere undefaced postage stamps are affixed to a card issued by the Postmaster-General for the purpose of having affixed to it postage stamps in payment or part payment for— (a) a broadcast listener ’ s licence or a television viewer ’ s licence under the Broadcasting and Television Act 1942-1969; or (b) the rental and other fees payable in respect of a telephone service by the subscriber for the service, and the amount payable by the Commonwealth upon re-purchasing the stamps is to be applied in payment or part payment for such a licence or for the rental and other fees in respect of such a service, as the case may be, the postage stamps affixed to the card may be re-purchased by the Commonwealth at the face value of the stamps. ” . Acknowledgment of delivery. 2. Regulation 196 of the Postal Regulations is repealed. Accrued charges on parcels returned from abroad. 3 . Regulation 210 of the Postal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “ Forty shillings ” and inserting in their stead the words “ Four dollars ” . Compensation and further payment. 4 . Regulation 241 of the Postal Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:— “ (3.) The last two preceding sub-regulations do not prevent payment of a money order being made by the Department in a case where payment of the money order has previously been made by the Department if the Postmaster-General has authorized the further payment to be made on the grounds that special circumstances justify the making of the further payment. ” .
