No. 88/2008 Fair Trading Act 1999 Fair Trading (Amendment) Regulations 2008 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 8 July 2008 Responsible Minister: TONY ROBINSON Minister for Consumer Affairs RYAN HEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Fair Trading Regulations 1999 to prescribe a class of contracts which are subject to Part 2B of the Fair Trading Act 1999. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 32V and 165 of the Fair Trading Act 1999. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 August 2008. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 88/2008 Fair Trading (Amendment) Regulations 2008 2 4 Application of Part 2B After regulation 5 of the Fair Trading Regulations 1999 1 insert— "5A Application of Part 2B For the purposes of section 32V(a) of the Act, a prescribed class of contract is contracts for the sale of land by instalments.". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
