No. 13/2008 Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 Liquor Control Reform (Prescribed Class of Premises) Regulations 2008 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 4 March 2008 Responsible Minister: TONY ROBINSON Minister for Consumer Affairs RYAN HEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe video shops as a class of premises that require Ministerial approval before a licence or BYO permit can be granted under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 180 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. 3 Definition In these Regulations— video shop means premises used primarily for the sale or hire of pre-recorded video cassettes and digital video discs for personal use. 1 -- 2 of 3 -- S.R. No. 13/2008 Liquor Control Reform (Prescribed Class of Premises) Regulations 2008 r. 4 4 Classes of prescribed premises (1) Premises used primarily as a video shop are prescribed as a class of premises for the purposes of section 22 of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. (2) The Director may grant a licence or BYO permit in respect of premises belonging to the class of premises referred to in subregulation (1) if the Director has the approval of the Minister to do so. ═══════════════ 2 -- 3 of 3 --
