1 Fair Work Act 2009 s.285—Annual wage review Annual Wage Review 2021–22 (C2022/1) JUSTICE ROSS, PRESIDENT MELBOURNE, 27 AUGUST 2021 DRAFT TIMETABLE [1] The Annual Wage Review 2020–21 (2020–21 Review) stated that the timetable for the Annual Wage Review 2021–22 (2021–22 Review) will be announced in the third quarter of 2021.1 [2] A draft timetable for the 2021–22 Review is provided at Attachment A for comment. [3] The 2021–22 Review will allow for submissions to take into account the National Accounts for the March quarter 2022. [4] As discussed during the 2019–20 Review proceedings, s.285(1) provides that the Expert Panel ‘must conduct and complete an annual wage review in each financial year’ (emphasis added). 2 It follows that 30 June 2022 provides the outer limit for the completion of the 2021–22 Review. [5] Submissions regarding the draft timetable should be made by close of business on Friday 10 September 2021 and can be filed electronically at [email protected]. [6] All submissions will be posted to the Commission’s website.
