Road Safety (Vehicles) (Learner Approved Motor
Cycle Scheme Amendment) Regulations 2008
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1 Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the
Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 to
permit registration labels to indicate learner
approved motor cycles.
2 Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of
the Road Safety Act 1986.
3 Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 July
2008.

4 Registration labels
After regulation 223(2) of the Road Safety
(Vehicles) Regulations 19991 insert—
'(2A) A registration label may include the code
"LAM" to indicate that a motor cycle is a
learner approved motor cycle within the
meaning of the Road Safety (Drivers)
Regulations 1999.'.
