No. 135/2008 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 Subordinate Legislation (Dangerous Goods (Transport by Rail) Regulations 1998 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2008 The Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Finance, WorkCover and the Transport Accident Commission, makes the following Regulations: Dated: 18 November 2008 Responsible Minister: TIM HOLDING Minister for Finance, WorkCover and the Transport Accident Commission RYAN HEATH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Dangerous Goods (Transport by Rail) Regulations 1998 for the period specified in regulation 3. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 135/2008 Subordinate Legislation (Dangerous Goods (Transport by Rail) Regulations 1998 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2008 2 3 Extension of operation The operation of the Dangerous Goods (Transport by Rail) Regulations 1998 1 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 30 November 2009. 4 Expiry These Regulations expire on 1 December 2009. ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
