No. 129/2008 Tobacco Act 1987 Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2008 The Lieutenant-Governor as the Governor's deputy with the advice of the Executive Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 28 October 2008 Responsible Minister: DANIEL ANDREWS Minister for Health ZOE WONG Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to provide for the appointment of members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 43 of the Tobacco Act 1987. 3 Revocation The following Regulations are revoked— (a) the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2006 1 ; (b) the Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) (Membership Amendment) Regulations 2007 2 . -- 2 of 5 -- S.R. No. 129/2008 Tobacco (Victorian Health Promotion Foundation) Regulations 2008 2 4 Appointment of members of Foundation (1) Under section 21(3)(a) of the Tobacco Act 1987, the following persons are appointed as members of the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation— (a) for the purposes of section 21(1)(a) of the Act— (i) Professor Richard Alan Smallwood; and (ii) Professor David John Hill, a person chosen by the Minister from a panel of three names submitted by the Anti- Cancer Council; and (iii) Dr Mei Ling Doery; and (b) for the purposes of section 21(1)(b) of the Act— (i) Lindsay Gaze; and (ii) Sue Cormack; and (iii) Gillian Louise Brewster, a person chosen by the Minister from a panel of three names submitted by the Sports Federation of Victoria; and (iv) Belinda Jakiel, a person nominated by the Minister as representing country sport; and (c) for the purposes of section 21(1)(c) of the Act— (i) Dr Sally Cockburn; and (ii) Peter Gordon; and (d) for the purposes of section 21(1)(d) of the Act, Jerril Samantha Rechter; and (e) for the purposes of section 21(1)(e) of the Act, Jane Margaret Fenton. r. 4 -- 3 of 5 -- S.R.
