No. 145/2007 Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities (Public Authorities) (Interim) Regulations 2007 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 18 December 2007 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney-General MELISSA VAN ROSSUM Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to declare certain entities not to be public authorities for the purposes of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 46 of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities. 3 Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2008. 1 -- 2 of 3 -- S.R. No. 145/2007 Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities (Public Authorities) (Interim) Regulations 2007 r. 4 4 Public authorities Each of the following entities is declared not to be a public authority for the purposes of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities— (a) the Adult Parole Board established by section 61 of the Corrections Act 1986; (b) the Youth Residential Board continued in existence by section 431 of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005; (c) the Youth Parole Board continued in existence by section 442 of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005. 5 Expiry These Regulations expire on 31 December 2008. ═══════════════ 2 -- 3 of 3 --
