No. 95/2007 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 Subordinate Legislation (Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 The Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Attorney-General, makes the following Regulations: Dated: 10 September 2007 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney-General RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1997 for the period specified in regulation 3. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994. 1 -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 95/2007 Subordinate Legislation (Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 r. 3 3 Extension of operation The operation of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Regulations 19971 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 29 September 2008. 4 Expiry These Regulations expire on 30 September 2008. ═══════════════ 2 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
