No. 129/2007 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 Subordinate Legislation (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 The Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Agriculture, makes the following Regulations: Dated: 4 December 2007 Responsible Minister: JOE HELPER Minister for Agriculture MELISSA VAN ROSSUM Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 1997 for the period specified in regulation 3. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994. 3 Extension of operation The operation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 19971 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 of the 1 -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 129/2007 Subordinate Legislation (Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 r. 4 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 15 December 2008. 4 Expiry These Regulations expire on 16 December 2008. ═══════════════ 2 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
