No. 136/2007 Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 Subordinate Legislation (Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 The Governor in Council, on the certificate and recommendation of the Minister for Consumer Affairs, makes the following Regulations: Dated: 11 December 2007 Responsible Minister: TONY ROBINSON Minister for Consumer Affairs MELISSA VAN ROSSUM Acting Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Regulations 1997 for the period specified in regulation 3. 2 Authorising provisions These Regulations are made under sections 5 and 28 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994. 3 Extension of operation The operation of the Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Regulations 19971 is extended for the period beginning on the day on which they would otherwise be revoked by virtue of section 5 1 -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 136/2007 Subordinate Legislation (Second-Hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Regulations 1997 - Extension of Operation) Regulations 2007 r. 4 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994 and ending on 22 December 2008. 4 Expiry These Regulations expire on 23 December 2008. ═══════════════ 2 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
