No. 20/2007 Transport Act 1983 Transport (Infringements) (Penalties) Regulations 2007 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 March 2007 Responsible Minister: LYNNE KOSKY Minister for Public Transport RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1 Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 1999 to make further provision for the operation of the graduated penalties scheme in respect of ticket and transport infringements. 2 Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 215 of the Transport Act 1983. 3 Graduated penalties for repeat ticket and transport infringements After regulation 202A(5) of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 19991 insert— "(6) This regulation does not apply to or in relation to a transport or ticket infringement -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 20/2007 Transport (Infringements) (Penalties) Regulations 2007 2 if the infringement notice is issued by a member of the police force.". ═══════════════ r. 3 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
