1 Fair Work Act 2009 s.285—Annual wage reviews to be conducted Annual Wage Review 2017–18 (C2018/1) JUSTICE ROSS, PRESIDENT MELBOURNE, 21 AUGUST 2017 TIMETABLE AND RESEARCH PROGRAM [1] On Friday 11 August 2017, a Statement was issued setting out the draft timetable and draft research program for the Annual Wage Review 2017–18. Submissions and suggestions in relation to the drafts were sought by Friday 18 August 2017. Two submissions were received and published on the Fair Work Commission’s website. [2] In relation to the draft research program, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry did ‘not object to the themes’ of the proposed research and provided a number of ‘additional observations’ for each report. These comments will be discussed, along with further consultation in relation to the research program and the contents of the Statistical Report, through the Minimum Wages Research Group. In a submission received on 21 August 2017, the Australian Industry Group supported the proposed research program. [3] No submission was received seeking a change in the dates proposed in the draft timetable. [4] The draft timetable and research program, as published on 11 August 2017, are now confirmed.
