Credit (Administration) (Committee) Regulations
2006
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe
certain bodies to nominate persons for
membership to the Advisory Committee
established by section 86AC of the Credit
(Administration) Act 1984.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 95 of
the Credit (Administration) Act 1984.
3. Revocation
The following Regulations are revoked—
(a) Credit (Administration) (Committee)
Regulations 1996 1 ;
(b) Credit (Administration) (Committee)
(Amendment) Regulations 20012 .

4. Prescribed bodies
(1) The following bodies are prescribed for the
purposes of section 86AC(1)(b) of the Credit
(Administration) Act 1984—
(a) Australian Bankers' Association
Incorporated, ARBN 117 262 978;
(b) Credit Union Services Corporation
(Australia) Limited, ABN 95 087 822 455;
(c) Australian Finance Conference Ltd,
ACN 000 493 907;
(d) Mortgage Industry Association of Australia,
ACN 006 085 552.
(2) The following bodies are prescribed for the
purposes of section 86AC(1)(c) of the Credit
(Administration) Act 1984—
(a) Financial and Consumer Rights Council Inc.,
A0000536A;
(b) Australian Consumers' Association,
ACN 000 281 925;
(c) Consumer Credit Legal Service Inc.,
A0023361K;
(d) Consumer Law Centre of Victoria Limited,
ACN 056 362 059;
(e) Brotherhood of St Laurence,
ARBN 100 042 822;
(f) Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service
Inc., ABN 61 354 551 576.
