No. 77/2006 Evidence Act 1958 Evidence (Witness Identity Protection) Regulations 2006 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 June 2006 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Attorney General RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe corresponding laws for the purposes of Part IIAA of the Evidence Act 1958. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 152(2) of the Evidence Act 1958. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2006. 4. Corresponding laws For the purposes of the definition of "corresponding law" in section 42BA(1) of the Evidence Act 1958, a law specified in column 2 of the Schedule of a jurisdiction specified opposite that law in column 1 of the Schedule is declared to -- 2 of 4 -- S.R.
