Costs) Regulations 2006
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to increase
the allowances for professional costs which may
be awarded to a party in respect of an arbitration
under Division 2 of Part 5 of the Magistrates'
Court Act 1989.
2. Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 105(2)
and 140 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 April
2006.

4. Amendment to Schedule 3
In Schedule 3 to the Magistrates' Court
(Arbitration) Regulations 20001 , in clause 1—
(a) in paragraphs (a) and (c), for "$1065"
substitute "$1114";
(b) in paragraphs (b) and (d), for "$1148"
substitute "$1201";
(c) in paragraphs (e) and (f), for "$1231"
substitute "$1288";
(d) in paragraph (g)—
(i) in sub-paragraph (i) for "$200"
substitute "$209";
(ii) in sub-paragraph (ii) for "$250"
substitute "$261";
(iii) in sub-paragraph (iii) for "$300"
substitute "$314".
