No. 72/2006 Magistrates' Court Act 1989 Magistrates' Court (Criminal Procedure) (Amendment) Rules 2006 The Chief Magistrate together with 2 Deputy Chief Magistrates jointly make the following Rules: 1. Object The object of these Rules is to prescribe a venue of the Court for the purposes of the Infringements Act 2006 and to amend certain references to forms. 2. Authorising provisions These Rules are made under section 16 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 and all other enabling powers. 3. Substitution of Order 3 For Order 3 of the Magistrates' Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2006 1 substitute— "ORDER 3—INFRINGEMENTS COURT 3.01 Infringements Court The following venue of the Court is prescribed as a venue at which any particular proceeding or class of proceeding or procedure set out in the Infringements Act 2006 is to be brought— 436 Lonsdale Street Melbourne.". 5. Statute law revision In the Magistrates' Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2006— (a) in Rule 8.03, in paragraph (a), for "Form 1" substitute "Form 2"; and (b) in Rule 8.03, in paragraph (b), for "Form 3 of Schedule 3" substitute "Form 1 of Schedule 2"; and (c) in Schedule 2, in Form 2 for "RULE 8.03(b)" substitute "RULE 8.03(a) and (b)".
