No. 41/2006 Building Act 1993 Plumbing (Certification Marks) Regulations 2006 The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations: Dated: 27 April 2006 Responsible Minister: ROB HULLS Minister for Planning RUTH LEACH Clerk of the Executive Council 1. Objective The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Plumbing Regulations 1998 to— (a) provide that a registered plumber, licensed plumber or other person authorised to carry out plumbing work under the Building Act 1993 must use products displaying certification marks; and (b) make other minor amendments. 2. Authorising provision These Regulations are made under section 221ZZZV of the Building Act 1993. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into operation on 1 May 2006. -- 2 of 4 -- S.R. No. 41/2006 Plumbing (Certification Marks) Regulations 2006 2 4. Standard of work and certification marks (1) In section 31(1)(b) of the Plumbing Regulations 19981 , for "kind." substitute "kind; and". (2) After regulation 31(1)(b) of the Plumbing Regulations 1998 insert— "(c) in the case of a product referred to in SAA MP52-1997, must ensure that the product is marked with a StandardsMark, WaterMark or TypeTest Mark in accordance with SAA MP52-1997.". 5. Fees and other amounts (1) For the heading to Part 6 of the Plumbing Regulations 1998 substitute— "PART 6—FEES AND OTHER AMOUNTS". (2) For the heading to regulation 32 of the Plumbing Regulations 1998 substitute— "Fees and other amounts". (3) Regulation 32(q) of the Plumbing Regulations 1998 is revoked. (4) At the end of regulation 32 of the Plumbing Regulations 1998 insert— "(2) For the purposes of section 221ZN(5) of the Act, the maximum amount for the sale of a compliance certificate form is $21.90.". ═══════════════ r. 4 -- 3 of 4 -- S.R.
